If you're not leaving Chicago right away, check WIRED NextFest exhibition at Millennium Park http://www.wirednextfest.com/
On Wednesday, the exhibition closes at 7pm and it's walking distance from the library.

From 6-8 on Wednesday, there is also a "brain bowl" where Wired editors and Chicago celebrities go against each other in a battle of the minds. So, designing RIAs in Flex, Silverlight, Flash, AJAX or other technologies is undoubtedly different than designing flat HTML applications. The page-based metaphor for browser-based interactions has been displaced by the ability to create Web-based applications that provide more of a "desktop" experience to users.

Curious to know what others are using for multi-touch large-screen applications. We've been working with Perceptive Pixel's stuff and are getting close to Microsoft Surface and MS's Virtual Wall.

Hello Sylvain -- A few of the volunteers and myself will have dinner Monday night (the 6th) near the conference. I'm thinking maybe we should meet at the lobby of Hotel Blake around 7 - 7:30pm and walk to a restaurant together. I'll confirm the details by Monday afternoon.
